Pete the Repeat Pirate Parrot

Though I really just wanted to use this venue to share a recent pirate experience, I suppose I must pose a question. Chaka, how long will it take for these silly toys to no longer be novel or interesting to anyone? I had two throughout my entire childhood (not the parrot variety) that my grandma gave us, and I'm amazed that someone is still successfully marketing these things!

So it records and plays back what you say? My guess is, they will sell to 10 year olds indefinitely. We're just about due for another movie to popularize wacky voice recorders, ala "Home Alone." Put all your money in Pete the Repeat Pirate Parrot.

What about 'em? They're completely accurate and helpful in all of life's decisions. Who wouldn't want one?

My question is, if askchaka is like a magic eight ball, but with feathers, why is no one asking for relationship advice? That's what I remember the magic 8 ball being most useful for.

"Should I ask Allyson to eat lunch with me?"

Concentrate and ask again.
